so, i've been here 3 weeks today.
accustomed to the lifestyle yet?
i guess so.

school is okay. only until noon each day so i have the rest of the day to waste away or go exploring, dependent on current mood. exploring by yourself gets pretty boring after a while though, so i usually stay up really late so that i'm tired and nap in the afternoon and wake up just in time for dinner.

food here is pretty gross. the good thing is that it's cheap as hell. if i go out to eat for lunch, dinner i can eat for about 7CDN a day. if i eat on campus instead, i can eat for less than 2CDN a day. i try to eat at least one meal on campus daily since it's so cheap, and nothing here tastes that good anyways.

the thing i miss the most?
having days go by and not being able to even have a real conversation with someone. language barrier and setting situations prevent being able to really talk to people. instead, i push my mandarin to the limit by trying to order food and read signs when i walk around. how fun!
